Is he healthy enough to travel with the team. I don’t know how good it would be if he just coaches the home games or something.
I agree that he is the best option by far but that would be an issue.
Team needs time either way to show what the players really can do.
Coach can neither put the ball in the basket or play defence.

I don’t believe that “only coaching home games” thing. That just seems like Phil playing games with the media. I can’t imagine the Lakers would accept him being a part-time coach.
